Voted #1 show in Myrtle Beach by the readers of the Sun News!
One, The Show! There's only one constant for the Alabama Theatre and
One ,The Show, and that's change. The theatre is proud to welcome back
to the stage the incomparable Gail Bliss, who brings her talents back to the
music of Patsy Cline and one of the funniest guys in the country, Grant
Turner and his beloved Ricky Mokel. Visitors will enjoy new chart-topping
songs, selections from Disney's Mary Poppins and plenty of Country and
Gospel favorites.
"We take seriously the fact that we are voted #1 by Myrtle Beach visitors,"
says theatre President Bob Wood. "Every year we remind ourselves of
what it took to become number one and every year we challenge ourselves
with the kind of improvements that make sure we remain at the top." One,
The Show plays six nights a week.
The Alabama Theatre presents its 2009 Guest Artists Concert Series with
acts like the Oak Ridge Boys, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, George Jones
and many other top artists.

"An entertainment phenomenon" (Southern Living Magazine). There are two
things that you have to see when you come to the Grand Strand: the ocean
and the Carolina Opry - the first variety show in Myrtle Beach and still the
jewel in its crown.
The Carolina Opry has been thrilling audiences for 23 years and has won
every major tourism award the state of South Carolina has to offer. The New
York Times calls it a "hit with visitors." The New York Post calls it a "hot ticket,"
and the USA Today reports the show as a "big hit."
Two hours of critically acclaimed music, comedy, and dance from Broadway to
country, from classic pop to rock 'n' roll and Gospel and bluegrass.
On the same stage be sure to check out "Good Vibrations" - a 90-minute
virtual tour of hits of the 60's, 70's and 80's with elaborate staging and an
exceptional cast. Call for show schedule.
Directed and produced by Calvin Gilmore (performer on the Grand Ole Opry
stage in Nashville), these award-winning shows offer an experience your
family will remember long after the tans have faded.
